Tournament & League Update

The Mobile Soccer Club had several teams travel to the Flora-Bama Showcase in Orange Beach and Perdido Key on the weekend of September 20-21, 2008.  We also had teams participating in the State League games. 

The 99 Girls Blue team earned a gold medal in the U10 Girls Division in convincing fashion while outscoring their opponents 16-1.

The 97 Girls Blue team made a remarkable come back in the U12 Division.  They lost a preliminary game agains the Meridian Shockers 0-4 but played great in their other preliminary matches to set up a rubber match with the Shockers in the finals.  The MSC Girls played great defense in the finals to bring home the gold medal with a 1-0 victory.  

The 95 Boys Blue team played solid all weekend and finished as finalists after dropping the championship game to the Blast U14 team.  

The 98 Girls Blue team finished out of medal contention by one point after defeating the Valkyrie U11 Girls Team and the St. Paul's U-11 Girls team and finishing in 3rd place in the U1 Division.  

The 91 Boys Blue team improved their record to 3-1 in the State League with a solid 5-2 victory over a tough Tuscalossa Arsenal team.

The 95 Girls Blue team scored two victories in State League play over the Lady Ambassadors of Briarwood 3-0 and the Tuscaloosa Stars 5-0.   They improved their record to 2-1 in League play.

The 94 Boys Blue team evened their record at 2-2 with a victory over the Homewood Freedom U15 team.

The 93 Boys Blue team had a tough home loss against the Hoover Phantoms on Saturday but rebounded to tie the Auburn Thunder on Sunday 2-2.
