Winners of the Atlanta Cup A Division

Congratulations to our 94 Girls Blue Team for their great win in the Atlanta Cup A Division on Labor Day Weekend 2011!

The 94 Girls Blue team added to their legacy as one of the most successful teams at the Mobile Soccer Club by winning the U19 Atlanta Cup A Division on Labor Day Weekend 2011.

The 94 Girls played the 93 Girls from the West Metro Soccer Club on Saturday morning and came away with a hard fought 1-0 victory. 

Next up were the Lady Chiefs Gold of the Cobb Futbol Club out of the Atlanta area.  The 94 Girls dispatched the Lady Chiefs by a score of 3-1.

Sunday morning brought the United Futbol Academy from and the 94 Girls earned another close 1-0 victory over the UFA team.

This put the Girls in the semi-finals against the South Carolina United Futbol Club and the 94 Girls again came away with a victory, this time with a little more comfortable margin of 3-0. 

The WMSC team that the 94 Girls defeated in their first game fought their way back and made the semi-finals and then the finals with a win over the USC girls.  This put them in a re-match with the 94 Girls from Mobile in the finals for the Gold Medal.  This time the Mobile Girls won the victory by a little more comfortable margin of 2-0 to take home the Gold Medal. 

The 94 Girls were led by a stout defense and stellar goal tending as evidenced by only allowing one goal in 5 games in one of the most competitive tournaments in the Southeast. 

The 94 Girls have won three of their last four tournaments (Midnight Madness, The Orange Classic & the Atlanta Cup) and they finished as a finalist in the other (The Mobile Bay Spring Classic). 

We look forward to even more success from this group this season as most of the girls on this team finish out their club careers.
