Jacques (Jack) Kickken is a native of the Netherlands. He moved to the United States in 2002.

 

He began playing soccer at age 5 with RKVV Wijnandia. He began as a goalkeeper and then later was a striker. In 1980 he was a member of the A1-Junior Team (16-18 yrs) that won the Regional Youth Championship. During his college years he played for W Schimmert a Third League KNVB club. At the end of the '85-'86 season he was selected for the Regional All Star Team. After his college years he went back to RKVV Wijnandia and played on the first team for many years primarily as striker but also as a central defender. RKVV was a regular play-off team.

 

Jack coached youth soccer boys teams for 10 years in the Netherlands and won a B1-Junior League Championship in 1996. He has coached several youth teams in the Mobile area and served as the Middle School Boys Coach at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile for the 2008 Spring Season.

 

Jack majored in German and English at the International School for Translators and Interpreters in Maastricht, The Netherlands and is a German-English-Dutch translator. He also tutors German students at St. Paul’s.

 

He is married to Christie Kickken, who is a Mobile native. Jack holds a USSF "E" License.
