Over the past few months, the Mobile Soccer Club Board of Directors has implemented several key elements that will affect the direction and the quality of our soccer club. They are outlined below.

MSC has dropped its affiliation with the Dynamo Juniors. Beginning with the 2011 Fall Season, MSC will no longer be a Dynamo Club. Our one year venture with the Juniors did not fulfill our expectations and to continue our affiliation would have been a poor investment of the Club’s resources.

     • The average MSC player was not benefitting from this arrangement. Only the truly “elite” players had any chance of taking advantage of the extended training and competition the Dynamo offered. We expected more benefits for all of our members.

     • The cost versus the limited benefits offered did not serve our needs.

MSC is joining the Gulf States Premier League. In an effort to give MSC players the very best competition available, MSC has been invited to join the newly formed Gulf States Premier League. Ten of the most competitive clubs along the coast, from Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana are participating.

 
     • MSC Division 1 teams will participate in both the AYSA state league as well as the GSPL. 
 

     • Other MSC teams will participate if it benefits that particular team's needs

     • The GSPL has replaced last year’s I-10 League

     • Scheduling multiple AYSA or GSPL games on weekends will reduce travel days and travel cost

Mobile Soccer Club members will continue to enjoy the benefits of belonging to Mobile’s only select soccer club.

• A full time Director of Coaching devoted to raising the level of competitive soccer in the area for both the youth players in our club and the level of coaching provided to them.

• All coaches are certified with extensive playing and coaching experience.

• The highest level of competition available of any area club.

• All cost to play is made known up front. We do not “nickel and dime” our members for every event or added cost.

• The relationship that MSC has with regional college coaches gives our members access to their coaching skills through our camps and exposure to their programs for those wishing to play soccer at the collegiate level.
